Just like you, we care about our home and want it to be a healthy, happy place to live. And by "home" we mean our individual homes and our shared home - this little blue planet we call Earth.
I often hear from customers that you are interested in both living more sustainably and in eliminating toxins from your homes and daily routines. Our dishcloths are an easy gateway to both aspirations! Swedish dishcloths can often be used to clean simply by wetting and wiping - for many spills and crumbs, there's no need to add a cleaning solution.
But sometimes water alone isn't enough to thoroughly clean stubborn grime. While we often default to harsh chemicals (packaged in single use plastic containers 😱) getting your home sparkling ✨clean can just as easily be achieved with natural cleaning solutions. It's easier and more effective than you might think, with the added bonus of saving you money!
Here's a quick list of natural cleaning ingredients to keep on hand, and a few ways to get started with natural cleaning. Chances are, most of these ingredients are in your kitchen right now (and you'll be amazed once you start - baking soda and lemons 🍋 along go a long way!!):
- Baking Soda
- Lemons
- White Vinegar
- Essential Oils (Tea Tree is a good one)
- Rubbing Alcohol
- Castile Soap

Not quite ready to DIY? Kudos to you for reading this far. If you're not yet ready to make your own natural cleaning products, perhaps you might try a natural cleaning spray already made for you. I love Annie's Pure and Simple, which is also based in Massachusetts.
